Inspired by the challenge of making an award winning 10 minute movie, from script to finished DVD in 48 hours, Monte Cristo Films, Corp. was established in 2003 through the generosity of Margie Hawayek and Marianne & Carlos Garcia.

We are a talented and devoted group of San Francisco filmmakers, trained at the Academy of Art College. We are dedicated to powerful story telling by means of film and video. We are independent, and with your support can maintain a high level of story telling.

About the Producer

Rose Hawayek started taking pictures when she was 6 years old. Her passion for film and visual story telling has never subsided. With her backpack and ingenuity she has traveled throughout the world and has absorbed many types of cultures and life styles. She put her self through school by working full-time as a poker dealer in Northern California, beginning her education at the Academy of Art College in the fall of 1997. Five years later she graduated with Honors in the fall of 2002.
